With thanks to Disney Pins Blog and Hidden Mickey Disney
Prior to 2020, Hidden Disney pins were known as Hidden Mickey pins and were available from Cast Lanyards and also to buy as mystery pouches/packs. For a complete list of Hidden Mickey pins available pre-2020, please visit the Hidden Mickey Disney website.

Have they been faked?
Very few Hidden Disney pins have been faked after the 2020 series.
Well, that was until the end of 2025, when a series of 2025 Wave A castles started appearing in Orlando "Gift Shops" and onto the WDW boards. They were easy to tell they were fake as they didn't have the different metal effect between the Mickey waffle on the backs and the "diamond Mickeys" didn't quite line up... but they were pretty good, so keep informed and be aware of what's out there. There's plenty of YouTube, Instagram and TikTok creators that will keep you in the loop - along with Facebook groups - just search for Disney Pin Trading.
Series 1: 2020
Hidden Disney Series 1 pins debuted at WDW in September 2020. Disneyland pins did not debut until the pouches were released, as Disneyland was closed for COVID until April 2021. The collection includes a shared series (Carnevale Masks) and two complementary series that share a theme but the pins are different (Star Wars Droids and Marvel Icons). Hidden Disney pouches ("Disney" written in white) debuted late January 2021. Completer (chaser) pins were only found in the pouches, and therefore were more limited. The Super Completer (Super Chaser) was available for purchase at DLR and WDW for $17.99.
Series 2: 2022/2023
Intended as the follow up to the 2020 series, Series 2 did not release until late December 2022. Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland had the exact same pins. The rumour goes that Disneyland chose not to participate, got cold feet, and ordered WDW's pins at the last minute. Pouches ("Disney" written in yellow) debuted in February 2023. Completer (chaser) pins were only released in pouches and were therefore more limited.
Series 3: 2024
The 2024 Hidden Disney series debuted at Disneyland at the beginning of March. Walt Disney World pins debuted in April. There are no shared releases, but several complementary series. There was a Mystery Collection of T-Shirts. Terminology changed from prior usage and "Completer" pins were now referred to as "Chaser" pins. Each set featured a Headless Horseman Ear Hat Super Chaser. DLR's has a purple cape while, WDW's is a red cape. Pouches released May 2024. WDW pouches have "Disney" written in baby blue, Disneyland's in hot pink.
NB: Only one photograph seems to exist for the DLR 2024 collection, so apologies for the low quality image.
Series 4: Wave A - 2025
The two releases in 2025 coincided with the 25th anniversary of Disney Pin Trading (1999/2000). The first wave of 2025 pins were released in January 2025. The Ear Headbands set featured a Super Chaser including each park's castle. Updated pouch packaging, silver with royal blue accents, used the castle to differentiate between DLR and WDW sets. Pouches were released in both DLR and WDW in April 2025 and quickly sold out. DLR received a restock in early June 2025 and WDW later in the year.
NOTE: The WDW Castles - including the Chaser - were faked and started appearing at the end of 2025.
Series 4: Wave B - 2025
The second wave of Hidden Disney pins were spotted at Walt Disney World, with Disneyland pins a few days later the 2nd week of July 2025. This is the first year - post-COVID - that the parks released multiple waves of pins. The Ear Hat set contains a Genie Super Chaser. DLR's is traditional Genie blue, while WDW's is red. Restocks were made available in WDW later in 2025.
